ISO 27001 Certification
ISO 27001 – Information Security? We’re Now Certified!
Two years of intensive preparation, a dedicated three-person core team, and numerous security measures implemented—all culminating in successful ISO 27001 certification.
Cyberattacks, data breaches, and increasingly stringent security requirements: Information security is no longer an issue that can simply be left to the IT department. Our customers, too, increasingly want to know exactly how we handle sensitive information and what measures we take to protect it.
Our response? Don’t just talk about it—take systematic action.
That’s why we set out to achieve ISO 27001 certification. And let’s get one thing straight right away: We’ve reached our goal!
From an Initial Assessment to a Security Upgrade
It all started with the question: How well-prepared are we, really?
External experts took a close look at our existing security measures. The results formed the basis for a comprehensive improvement project: assessing risks, eliminating vulnerabilities, optimizing technical and organizational safeguards, and taking internal processes to a new level.
Sounds like a lot of work? It certainly was.
Over the course of two years, our three-person core team worked on this project together with numerous colleagues from various departments. The project was initiated and supported throughout by our executive management.
After all, information security only works when everyone pitches in—from the server room to the CEO’s office.
Audit passed. Mission accomplished? Almost.
We successfully passed the decisive stress test during the two-stage certification audit—without any major nonconformities.
This means NEXT SYSTEM is now officially certified to ISO 27001. An important milestone we’re proud of.
Even more important, however, is what we’ve learned along the way. In addition to improved security measures, we’ve also scrutinized our internal processes, clarified responsibilities, and built up a wealth of expertise as an organization.
Less paperwork. More security in practice.
Anyone who knows us knows this: For us, certificates aren’t just pretty pieces of paper for the office wall.
Just as with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, we view ISO 27001 as a tool for continuously improving our company. Not because some standard requires yet another file folder, but because well-thought-out processes, clear responsibilities, and effective security measures create real added value.
And because information security isn’t something you achieve once and then check off your list, we stay on top of it. We continuously review, improve, and further develop our information security management system.
After all, the best security strategy isn’t the one with the thickest documentation. It’s the one that works in everyday life.
In black and white. And in four versions.
Our ISO 27001 certificates for Austria and Germany are available for download in both German and English—as usual, in the Certificates section of our website.
